Qatar Tourism celebrated World Tourism Day 2024 under the theme “Tourism and Peace”, emphasizing the crucial role that tourism plays in promoting peace, cultural understanding, and reconciliation between nations. The event was held at the scenic Heenat Salma Farm, bringing together Qatar Tourism and Visit Qatar senior staff members, as well as local and regional media representatives.
Attendees participated in cultural workshops and had the unique opportunity to experience an art workshop titled “Sport in Global Paintings”, organized by the Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum’s Education and Awareness Department. This workshop creatively combined art and sports, highlighting the cultural significance of sports on a global scale.
The event also provided a valuable platform for networking and engaging in meaningful discussions about the role of tourism in building peaceful, interconnected societies.
